Coventry and Warwickshire’s leading accident repair centre is leading the way in plugging the gender gap within the automotive industry by recruiting women into the company’s ranks. XL Motors, which has four sites throughout Coventry, is changing the face of the automotive sector by striving to alter its ‘male dominated’ perception and lead the line in normalising the female presence in the industry.
Inspiring women to lead the way
Taking up active roles in spraying, prepping, collecting and delivering cars, young women at XL Motors are changing the landscape of the automotive industry and inspiring others along the way. With 21 per cent of its staff now female, including two apprentices in the paint shop, XL Motors are bucking the trend within the automotive industry by further diversifying its workforce and improving the gender balance within the business.
